New members welcome!

Avocados Australia welcomes new members, whether they are growers, packhouses, wholesalers, retailers, farm input suppliers or other product and service providers.

We believe for the industry to be successful it must be a strong national community that unites to achieve common goals and ensures the collective and individual success of businesses involved in the industry. We also believe that all members should have a direct say about the future of the industry and direct access to our organisation.

What Membership means:

  • You have an equal say.
  • You have greater input.
  • Your commitment to the industry will be returned to you as greater opportunity for success in your business.

Here's a brief list of the benefits our new organisation brings:

  • Opportunity to raise funds to support activities outside current levy arrangements, including lobbying activities, such as challenging import applications, government imposts and market manipulation.
  • Grower members have the opportunity to vote directly for a Director and at general meetings.
  • Members can influence and control the direction of their industry.
  • The arrangement optimizes the leadership and representation selection process while ensuring regional factors are not overlooked.
  • The company will be able to improve communication with and services to our members.

Membership details

Membership of Avocados Australia is available in the following classes:

  1. Grower Members
  2. Associate Members
  3. Affiliate Members
  4. Honorary Members
  5. Life Members

 

Grower Members

This class of membership is only available to commercial Australian Avocado growers at a membership fee of $110 (including GST) per year.

Information and Application Form

 

Associate Members

Associate membership is open to the following businesses and enterprises which service the Australian Avocado industry which may comprise:

  1. processing and packing houses;
  2. wholesalers (including agents of wholesalers);
  3. retailers;
  4. exporters; and
  5. transporters.

The membership fee for this class of member is $220 (including GST) per year. Included in this membership is a subscription to "Talking Avocados" the magazine of the Australian Avocado industry.

Associate Membership Application Form

 

Affiliate Members

Affiliate membership will be open to the following groups/persons:

  1. consumer groups;
  2. any producer or participant in a service industry that is allied with the Australian Avocado industry;
  3. educational institutions;
  4. other persons with a non-commercial interest in the Australian Avocado industry.

The membership fee for this class of member is $55 (including GST) per year. Included in this membership is a subscription to "Talking Avocados" the magazine of the Australian Avocado industry.

Affiliate Membership Application Form

Honorary and Life Memberships are at the discretion of the Board and will be announced from time to time.
