  1. Tip 1 - Avocados contain a high amount of the carotenoid called Lutein. Lutein has an antioxidant effect that may protect your skin from UV-B-induced damage.6.
  2. Tip 2 - Avocados contain antioxidants called polyphenols. Antioxidants can help reduce free radicals that cause cell damage. Eating a wide variety of antioxidants may be beneficial for your skin and possibly prevent premature skin ageing. 7.
  3. Tip 3 - Vitamin C may improve the health of your skin, as well as prevent the premature formation of wrinkles. It improves the integrity of collagen within your skin. 7
  4. Tip 4 - One of the fats found in avocado is oleic acid. While there is no evidence that eating avocados has a direct effect on skin we do know that essential fatty acids such as oleic acid found in avocado plays a role in the skin’s defence system.8,9 Traditionally oils such as olive oil, another rich source of oleic acid, have been used as moisturising oils for skin.7
  5. Tip 5 - Avocados contain Vitamin E, which may help your skin's overall health. Vitamin E may increase the elimination of cellular waste from your skin and increase the growth of new skin cells. It may even protect the fats within your skin, especially sebum. Not to mention improve your skin's blood circulation.9
  6. Tip 6 - Avocados contain Vitamin E, which is great for healthy hair. It may improve your hair condition and will help increase its feel and appearance.9
