Kym has been in the avocado industry for 14 years as a grower and is currently a Partner/Manager and Director of Golden Hill Packing Pty Ltd as well as being a partner in Thiel Orchards, the growing entity. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Horticulture and Irrigation) and before moving into the avocado industry, worked as an Industry Development officer with Citrus Australia for over a decade after a few years working with South Australia’s Primary Industries and Resources. I am passionate about growing and marketing avocados to ensure our industry continues to grow viable crops of quality fruit each year to meet Australia’s growing market demand.
